INTERCULTURAL COOPERATION
Welcoming international students to Gâtine
Creating intercultural encounters at the heart of the region.
ROADS, in partnership with the French as a Foreign Language (FLE) Center at the University of Poitiers, organizes welcome sessions for international students with residents and stakeholders in the Gâtine region.
A territorial dynamic
This program is for residents, families, and organizations in the Gâtine region who wish to participate in an intercultural exchange experience.
The objective is simple: to allow international students to discover local life in a rural setting and to offer local stakeholders a concrete opportunity to connect with other cultures.
The Gâtine region thus becomes a space for international encounters and cooperation.
How does this work?
Networking
ROADS connects students from the FLE Centre with volunteer families and structures in the Gâtine region.
Weekend or immersion time
Students are welcomed locally to share a moment of life, discover the territory and exchange with the inhabitants.
Coordination
ROADS provides organization, networking and support for the system.
Why the Gâtine region?
The Gâtine region boasts a rich network of associations and community members.
Welcoming international students helps to enhance the region, strengthen its openness, and create lasting connections between rural life and the international community.
This program is more than just accommodation.
It's an experience of sharing and intercultural dialogue.
Residents and stakeholders of the Gâtine region: join the movement.
