INTERNATIONAL ALTERNATIVES NETWORK

Coordinate the alternatives.
Connect the territories.
Build tailored solutions.

ROADS connects innovative initiatives between France and Latin America in order to analyze experiences, learn from successes and failures, and support projects rooted in their local realities.

Why a network of alternatives?

Initiatives are being tested everywhere.

Some succeed. Others fail.
All produce valuable learning experiences.

ROADS was born from a simple observation:

Alternatives already exist, but they often remain isolated, under-analyzed, or difficult to transfer from one region to another.

We are not proposing a standardized model or an imported solution.

We systematize the experiments, Let us analyze their contexts, and facilitate coordination between actors in order to develop responses adapted to each local reality.

A flexible, participatory and coordinated structure

ROADS doesn't operate like a traditional association.

We act as a synergy between networks and independent actors.

Our dynamic avoids cumbersome and centralized bureaucratic models.

We prioritize horizontal cooperation, positive coordination, and the exchange of knowledge between regions.

We are a network of networks founded on shared principles, but respectful of local specificities.

The project aligns with the discussions of the Global Social and Solidarity Economy Forum (GSEF 2025), which brings together stakeholders from around the world with a common goal: building fairer, more sustainable, and more inclusive economic models.

The Forum's declarations lay out an international roadmap for strengthening cooperation between territories, institutions, and citizens.

Connecting experiences. Structuring alternatives. Acting together.

Change doesn't rely on a single solution or an isolated actor.

It emerges from the coordination of networks, territories, and shared learning.
